Got a question about how to use AssetFolio?

1. What is Assetfolio?
   AssetFolio is a web-based application that helps you to better manage your personal or company's assets by keeping track of their details, current use and their coverage under warranty.
2. How do I use AssetFolio?
   You can register to use AssetFolio by clicking on the Register button in the login module at the left of the homepage. You will then be asked to fill out a registration form, and once you have filled out the form you will be free to use AssetFolio.
3. How do I add Assets?
   The first step is to click on the Admin tab and to add a unique "company name". For personal use this may be your family name. After creating a company name, you can add more users. This allows you to give other family or staff members access to AssetFolio. The second step is to go to the Assets page and to add your assets. You may do this one at a time or using the spreadsheet option near the bottom of the page bulk upload asset information. There is a link which provides an example of the spreadsheet columns that are mandatory for the bulk upload.
4. I want other employees at my company to access asset records, how can i do this?
   Only a company administrator has the power to do this. An administrator can go to the Admin page, fill out the new person's details and then click Add User.
5. What does the Administrator button on the Admin page mean?
   This affects how much power new users are given when they are created. Users created with the administrator box checked may create or modify users as well as view and modify the asset details of the company.
6. Security Login and Password
   
   1. Use an email address that is from a domain that you own, for example fred@jones.com. This will ensure that you do not loose your email address which may happen if you use a free email address or one assigned by your ISP
   2. Ensure your password is at least 8 characters and includes capital letters, characters and numbrs.
7. Security - What do I do if I loose my email address?
   Contact AssetFolio immediately to have your account suspended. If someone else gains control of your email address they can request your password through the site.
8. Security - Spam and Scams
   

   Please remember these Spam and Scam related security tips:

   1. Look out for suspicious emails and fake websites claiming to be from AssetFolio. We will never send you an email redirecting you to log on to our online asset management website (www.assetfolio.com). Please email us immediately if you see anything suspicious.
   2. Keep anti-virus software updated on your computer.
   3. Install a personal firewall on your computer to create a security barrier between your computer and the Internet.
   4. Keep anti-spyware software updated on your computer. Beware of spyware that may be unknowingly installed on your computer, and may transmit your information via the Internet to unauthorised third-parties.
   5. Avoid using shared computers at public places, such as Internet cafes, for AssetFolio.
